With all of the popularity of classifieds, it is no surprise that something bigger and better has come along. Although some major classified ad sites, such as Craigslist, have refused to add on video ads, other websites are greatly benefiting from its widespread success.
Video classified ads offer something that the world has never seen before; a potential buyer can watch a brief video, submitted by the seller, about a service or product. These videos are oftentimes accompanied by the sellers voice in the background while a truck, for example, is being video-taped.
So, if a car is what is being sold, the seller can record the inside and outside of the car. It provides a three-dimensional, realistic view of a product. The seller can even say something like, As you can see, there are no scratches on the paint of the car. The interior is clean and well-taken care of, while he zooms the camera on the paint and then on the interior of the car.
The seller has a much better chance of selling a product because he or she is able to say much more about the product than is allowed in a description box of a regular classified ad. The buyer is also at an advantage because they are able to see the product and hear it. Video has many advantages.
